FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
What’s the difference between the Flying Ring and the Flying Disc?
The Flying Disc and the Flying Ring are designed for different play styles and age groups.
The disc weighs 175g and is designed to deliver flight performance similar to a professional disc.
In contrast, the ring is designed especially for younger children ages 5+ and beginners. Its thin and lightweight design prioritizes safety, comfort, and ease of play.
If you’re looking for a more professional playing experience with flight performance and feel similar to a standard disc, the Flying Disc is the better option. If you prefer a lightweight option that kids can easily throw and catch, the Flying Ring is a great choice.
What age is suitable for the Flying Disc?
The Flying Disc is best suited for ages 10 and above, including teenagers and adults. With a weight of 175g and a design that offers a grip and throwing feel similar to a professional disc, it is ideal for players who want a more authentic flying disc experience while still enjoy the dynamic lighting effects.
How do I activate the LEDs/lightning effect on my disc?
For transportation safety, the Flying Disc is shipped in locked mode. To unlock it, press any button and throw the disc at least 15 ft (5 m).
Once unlocked, the motion-activated system will automatically turn on the LEDs each time you throw or spin the disc, and turn them off 10 minutes after the motion stops to conserve battery life.
Is it easy to throw, and do the built-in electronics affect its flight performance?
Designed to meet professional standards, the disc offers a comfortable grip and smooth, stable flight. The built-in electronics are carefully engineered and integrated to maintain balanced weight and aerodynamic performance, so it flies straight and consistently—just like a standard professional disc.
Is the disc durable enough for regular outdoor play?
Yes. The disc is made from high-quality, durable materials designed for regular outdoor use across a variety of environments such as grass, sand, and other common play surfaces. However, as it contains built-in electronic components, we recommend avoiding repeated impacts on very hard surfaces for best longevity.
Is it suitable for windy conditions?
The disc is designed with a 175g weight that offers stable, controlled flight in typical outdoor conditions. While it performs well in light to moderate wind, stronger winds may affect flight stability, as with any disc.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. The disc is designed to be water-resistant and suitable for outdoor environments such as the beach or poolside.
What does the Color button do?
The Color button is used to select different color modes. When pressed, the disc will briefly light up for a few seconds to indicate the selected mode.
This button only works when the disc is in Style Mode S0 and is available only on RGB Flying Discs. Mono-LED versions do not include this feature.
For more details about Style Mode and other timer modes, refer to the instruction guide included in the box.
What colors are available?
Our discs are available in RGB and mono-LED versions. RGB models offer multiple color options and lighting effects, while mono-LED models feature a single LED color (green, red, blue) with adjustable brightness.
In terms of design, mono-LED discs come with a black disc body, while RGB versions are available in both black and white disc bodies.
How long does the battery last?
The disc takes approximately 30 minutes to be fully charged. On a full charge, the disc can last up to a full 90-minute Ultimate match or around 2,000 throws, depending on the selected brightness and mode.
How do I charge my Flying Disc?
On the back of the disc, you’ll find a soft lid marked with the charging symbol and “USB-C.” Use your fingernails to lift the lid to access the charging port.
While charging, the battery indicator light will blink. It will turn solid green once the disc is fully charged.
Why do you claim 16 million colors when the human eye can’t distinguish all of them?
Our RGB Flying Disc uses 24-bit RGB LED technology, where each LED combines red, green, and blue light with 256 brightness levels per channel (256 × 256 × 256), resulting in 16.7 million possible color variations.
This specification refers to the full technical color range the LEDs can produce. While the human eye cannot distinguish every individual shade, the expanded color depth allows for smoother transitions, richer gradients, and more vibrant lighting effects compared to systems with fewer colors.
